AUGUST 20–22 LOGOS Experience 2010. Our mid-week YCX program for fourth through eighth graders is designed from the LOGOS ministry. Our church is hosting the LOGOS Experience training event from Aug. 20–22. If you work with children and youth and are interested in learning and implementing exciting new practices for your own leadership skills,

to register for this training experience. Previous leaders who attended found it helpful not only in leading YCX, but also for choir and other children and youth programs. Registration deadline is Aug. 4.
SEPTEMBER 12 All-church picnic From noon until 2 on the front lawn on Sunday, Sept. 12. Come on out for great food, games, music and volleyball! Dress is casual—bring your blankets and lawn chairs. Please bring a dish to share: Last names beginning with A–M bring a salad or side dish, N–Z bring a dessert. Please, disposable dishes only. Parking is in the back lot only on the day of the picnic. Handicap parking will be available.
Pitch in for the FPC Picnic Do you have a half an hour of time to give to help make this year's all-church picnic a success? If the answer is yes, we'd like to invite you to assist with one of the following: - Put food on the tables - Replenish paper products - Set up tables and chairs before the picnic and take them down when it's over - Clean up after the picnic (at 2 p.m.) - Assist with games for the kids

OCTOBER 1 JOY's Oktoberfest German food and fun come to Fellowship Hall on Friday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. This JOY event features a hearty buffet that includes bratwurst, pulled pork, and root ‘beer’ plus musical entertainment, and it’s only $15 per person. OCTOBER 8 Threads of Hope A documentary about the lives of underclass women in Kolkata, India, premieres in the Kirk Center on Friday, October 8, at 7 p.m. The event will include a large photo gallery, a stand of fair trade Indian textiles, and an after-party with Phillip LaRue. Tickets are $5 in advance via ferashafilms.com. All proceeds go to ConneXions in Kolkata, India.
